File Management Applet

The @Bodington@ file management applet is still under development and has a number of bugs in it but it is provided for evaluation by IT experts. To make use of the applet you will need either internet explorer version 5.5 or above or Netscape version 6.2 or above. You will also need Java version 1.4+. The little applet below will tell you if your browser has the right version of Java installed already. If it doesn't you can download and install a Java plugin from Sun's web site.

Warning

Custom menus as generated by the file management applet are currently unsupported. Once you have generated a custom menu for a resource any newly uploaded files will not be displayed automatically in the resource menu. There is no way to revert from a custom menu to automatic menu. We may also delete custom menus during the upgrade procedure.

Your browser has no support for Java applets and doesn't recognise the APPLET tag.

If the message in the applet above confirms that the correct version of Java is installed you can now use the File Management Applet.

If the message above reports that you don't have the right version of Java installed but you have installed it that might mean that you have more than one version installed and the wrong one is currently selected. Use the Java Plug In item in the Windows Control Panel to select the right one.
