Import IMS Meta-Data Package

Import IMS Package to a New Web Document

When you import an IMS package a number of things will be don;

  1. A new web document will be created.
  2. The package will be transferred from your computer to the @Bodington@ System (uploaded).
  3. The content (web pages etc.) of the package will be unpacked to the new web document.
  4. A contents page will be generated for the web document based on the information in the IMS package.
  5. The metadata part of the package will be attached to the web document to allow it to be found by search tools.
Container Access: Access controlled by containing location. If you check this people who are allowed access to the containing location will also get access to the new resource. If this is acceptable it could mean that you do not need to edit the access control list for this resource.
Name: This is the short name of the new document that will form the last part of its web address. It has to be unique to resources in this location and if you plan to move the new document, the name must be unique in its planned location. Names must contain only lower case letters, numbers or the underscore character and must be no more than 12 characters long.
IMS Package: Select the IMS Package file from your local file system.
