If you have not used short answer papers before, you are advised to consult the documentation provided. Mistakes can cause distress to students. In particular we strongly urge course managers to always provide students with at least two ways to hand in their work. E.g. short answer paper or print out, Email or print out, short answer paper or email etc...

Container Access: Access controlled by containing location. If you check this people who are allowed access to the containing location will also get access to the new resource. If this is acceptable it could mean that you do not need to edit the access control list for this resource.
Name: This is the short name of the new short answer paper that will form the last part of its web address. It has to be unique to resources in this location and if you plan to move the new paper the name must be unique in its planned location. Names must contain only lower case letters, numbers or the underscore character and must be no more than 12 characters long.
Title: The title that will appear at the top of pages for this new paper and in navigation text that links to it.
Description: The description will appear in directories of locations in the building for users who have "see" access to the paper.
Introduction: The introduction is the text that will appear on the opening page of the paper.
Opening Date Compulsory Field Before this date students will not be able to enter answers. Format = dd/mm/yyyy.
Deadline Date Compulsory Field The deadline date for answering questions.
Penalty Date Compulsory Field Students who miss the deadline can answer questions up to this date.
Maximum Mark: Compulsory Field The student's final total mark will be adjusted to fit a scale between 0 and this maximum.
Extra marks: Compulsory Field Your marking scheme can include a number of extra marks that are not connected with any individual respose to a question. This must be zero or a positive whole number.
Weighting for extra marks: Compulsory Field This is a decimal number greater than or equal to zero. It is the weighting for the extra marks.
Marker's notes: Notes for the marker concerning the extra marks.
